Our Graduate profile
Graduate profiles are one way that a school can communicate a shared understanding of what a future-oriented learner looks like. Graduate profiles describe skills, knowledge, and attitudes that students will need to develop in order to participate in a range of life contexts beyond school.
Te āhua o ā tātou ākonga, or a graduate profile, as described in Te Marautanga o Aotearoa, is a collective vision for student learning that is shaped by whānau, hapū, iwi, and kura. In 2015, students, teachers, kura, whanau and hapu shared their voices to shape what our school graduate profile would look like for our tamariki during and after their time here at Omanaia school. Every year, our tamariki and whanau will review the graduate profile to measure the success of our students against the graduate profile and develop progressions for all our students to achieve these visions. |
